The annual SANDF Champs was held in Kwa-Zulu Natal and we are delighted to congratulate and welcome back our newly crowned men’s Champion and women’s Champion

SANDF Championships - 8-11 May 2017 - Port Shepstone:
The annual SANDF Champs was held in Kwa-Zulu Natal and we are delighted to congratulate and welcome back our newly crowned men’s Champion and women’s Champion after a very successful campaign:


• Dennis Williams scored 71, 75 and 71 = 217
• Karin Watts scored 77, 84 and 84 = 245


After the tournament, the following members were awarded National SANDF colours:
• Wouter Kruger, Rijkie Terblanche and Clive Pofadder


Awesome, you made us all very proud!


GNGU – Women’s Golf:
Congratulations to Karin Watts and Lindi Coetzee who have been included in the Gauteng North Provincial squad. We all wish you great success we know you will be a true ambassadors for our Club!


News from the course:
Good progress has been made by our greenkeeper and his personnel with the clearance of some of the dense vegetation on the course. The intention was to ensure better playability of our course and will assist our course marshals to address the persistent slow play behaviour.

Reinstatement of 2-Clubs for Wednesday and Saturday competitions respectively:
Thanks to Estiaan for bringing back the traditional 2-Club competition to our Club. Entries will be payable at the Riddle Pro-Shop @ R20-00 per player before the round commences. The full Saturday pool will pay out equally to all 2-Clubs achieved and if the pool has no winners, the combined Saturday pool will go into an accumulated carry over until the following Saturday’s competition. The same principal applies to Wednesday competitions.


Competition Fees:
EXCOM have decided that the pool of competition fees (R20-00 per person) will be distributed according to a sliding scale. The whole pool will be paid out to the winners. Winners must be present to collect their winnings. Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited towards the Members for the Members Golf Day prize fund pool. This event will be scheduled later during this year, around October/ November. An announcement regarding the golf day will be made later in the year.


General Manager:
The recruitment of a General Club Manager is well underway. The closing date has been moved forward to 15th June 2017. Candidates can submit their CV’s to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..


On a lighter note! …. GOLF LAW # 4:
“Golf balls never bounce of trees back into play - if it does….then the tree is breaking a law of the universe and should be cut down!!”
